CAMPING - CAMPER SLIDE-ON
Trayon has been building slide-ons since 1994 and in April 2017 produced its 1000th unit. The Trayon Diesel Deluxe model has everything a bush camper could want and it’s relatively quick to set up and pack away.
Like most slide-ons the Trayon lineup is aimed at travelling couples, not families who want a multi-room camping style. The interior boasts a roomy dinette, cooktop and front-opening fridge – a virtual mini-apartment that’s comfy when the weather is inclement.
The bed has straps that keep the bedding in place when the roof is flipped closed, so set-up is user-friendly.
The Diesel Deluxe 1830 model comes with a diesel heater that provides hot water as well. This unit has its own 12-litre diesel tank that most users say lasts around three months without refilling.
Trayon places great emphasis on weight saving and every component is specified with ute GVM limitations in mind. Trayon’s slide-ons are also available
as camper trailers, for those who’d rather tow.
Trayon Campers has been producing slide-on campers since 1994 in Australia on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. With a focus on manufacturing lightweight,
compact and strong campers for off-road tray-back utes Trayon quickly gained a reputation for quality slide-on campers.
Trayon #001 is still in use today in Gympie, QLD.
In April 2017 Trayon reached a milestone for itself and also for the Class-2 slide-on camper industry in Australia: Trayon built its 1000th camper.
Camper #1000 is a Diesel-Deluxe, to suit either a single-cab or extra-cab tray back ute and was put aside for an important reason. Trayon Campers intends
to donate the proceeds of the sale of Trayon #1000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) – Queensland Section; as a thank you to those dedicated
health professionals that provide vital emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those that live, work and travel across the expanses of our country.
