Review: Fire II Fork: More Camp Cooking
Harry Fisher began filming YouTube episodes, cooking over fire, during the Covid years and they became popular. His first cookbook, Fire To Fork, has sold more than 35,000 copies in Australia alone.

Three years on from his first book, Harry has collated 70+ new and original recipes for his second campfire cookbook – Fire II Fork: More Camp Cooking.
“I can’t believe they let a former bean counter, who rarely wears shoes, write two cookbooks, but here we are,” said Harry at the book launch.
(Harry Fisher is very modest, but he is the son of a chef.)
“Fire II Fork is heavily influenced by the food I grew up eating while camping in south-west Western Australia.
“I’ve done my best to ensure it’s filled with hearty recipes that we usually only eat at home or at a restaurant, but the ingredients you can buy in supermarkets or from butchers.”
Some stand-out meals include No Skills Beef Stew, Bang Bang Shrimp and Food For Hangovers. There are quick meals and ideas for sides, including Harry’s decadent Potato Salad and Potato Bake.
Harry’s new book is published by Wollongong-based Exploring Eden Media.
Social media star, Andy Cooks, wrote the foreword for Fire II Fork and said: “I’ve been watching his videos for years and he puts so much passion into every dish he creates”.
Fire To Fork: More Camp Cooking goes on sale on December 1, 2024, for $39.95. Find out more at exploringedenbooks.com.
