Our monthly website update – April 2025
Welcome to the April 2025 Newsletter
Our first task each month is to thank the generous people who have donated to the OTA website. We earn some advertising revenue, but donations are very important for us. Don’t forget that anyone who donates $50 or more to the OTA website goes into the regular prize draws that we will make throughout 2025. Make sure you’re in the running.
In News we reported that, as the years have taken their toll, we’ve decided to offer the OTA website to a new owner, who can hopefully carry the flag for the next generation of bush travellers. We also forecast price hikes for all 4WDs emanating from Trump’s new look USA.
In Buyers Guide – Large Utes we listed current pricing upgrades for the Chevy Silverado lineup.
Our Buyers Guide – Medium Utes updates was headed by a full report and test of the JAC T9 ute range, including custom suspension options available from Tough Dog. We also updated info on the imminent Ford Ranger PHEV.
In Medium Wagons we reported on the demise of Jeep’s Grand Cherokee – a casualty of high US-made vehicle prices, along with other issues.
In Large Wagons we noted the arrival of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon – at insane pricing.
In Buying Advice we pointed out why we don’t let global politics get in the way of truthful vehicle reporting.
Our latest test products in DIY Workshop are the Wypall range from Kimberly-Clark that have already replaced our rag-bag collection.
