Isuzu’s merch range for young and old

Isuzu’s merch range for young and old
Coinciding with the introduction of the 2025 model line-up, Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has launched an historic and contemporary merchandise range.

The ‘merch’ was introduced at the recent Brisbane Truck Show and embraced a range of headwear, apparel, decals, stubby holders and key rings, adorned with a range of traditional Isuzu designs and heritage logos rarely seen in Australia, alongside contemporary garment styles.
The heritage line begins with the simple geometric logo that dates back to 1949 and which reflects the company’s connection to the historic Ise region in central Japan.
Depicting the tagline, ‘Fifty Bells,’ the post-war logo was inspired by the Isuzu River and the Ise Grand Shrine – dedicated to the solar goddess Amaterasu Ōmikami and the grain goddess Toyouke-hime – reminiscent of Japan’s Edo and Meiji periods.
The merch range also gives the nod to subsequent logo variations since, including what was current at the time of Isuzu’s Australian arrival in the late 1960s, though to today.

IAL’s national parts sales manager, Joel Gledhill, was the brains behind the merch line-up and reckoned that the Brisbane Truck Show was the perfect event to launch the unique range:
“We always wanted to have a bold merch look that complemented our product well and we wanted to ensure Isuzu’s unique heritage was represented appropriately and in a culturally safe way,” said Mr Gledhill.
“We looked to embrace the storied history of the brand, while giving a nod to Japanese culture and fashion.
“Based on the feedback we’ve received; I think the result has really blown many people away.
“Just like our vehicles, the Isuzu merchandise range must always represent the brand in terms of quality.
“It has always been at an affordable price and this range is no different – no F1-styled pricing!”
Isuzu Truck dealerships are now offering the merch range at parts counters across the country – while stock lasts.
