MG UTE PREVIEWED
MG previewed its late-2025-release U9 ute.
MG Motor Australia launched its U9 ute at the April 2025 Melbourne Motor Show. Being part of the Chinese SAIC motor group, the MG ute is a badge-engineered version of the LDV Terron 9.
Like its stablemate LDV ute, MG’s dual-cab, 2.5-litre turbo-diesel puts out 164kW, but other specifications and pricing weren’t disclosed. However, check out our preview story on the LDV Terron 9 models and you’ll get a rough idea.
The U9 is scheduled to arrive in Australian MG dealerships in late 2025 and will be backed by MG’s 10-year/250,000km warranty.
MG Motor Australia is currently working with local after-market equipment suppliers, to ensure there’s a range of accessories available for the U9.
Pre-orders are set to open in the second half of 2025.
