An input-current limited trailer battery charger that uses a normal trailer plug.

Redarc has introduced a more versatile 12V, 12A input-current-limited battery charger for trailers, called the BCDC1212T.

The BCDC1212T is said to be the ideal battery charger for trailers with electrical equipment and accessories – hydraulic pumps, winches, fridges and other gear. It’s purpose-designed for dump trailers, boat trailers, car trailers, camper vans and lifting tailgates.

This input-limited charger works with 12V and 24V vehicles and is compatible with seven-pin round trailer plugs. The BCDC1212T charges lead acid, calcium content, gel, AGM or LiFePO4 batteries and is input-current limited to ensure that the current rating of the trailer plug is not exceeded.

This DC battery charger keeps the secondary battery charged while the engine alternator is charging. That allows users to power the trailer battery throughout the day and removes the dependence on AC mains charging.

Designed for fast and easy installation, the BCDC1212T comes pre-wired with a customised wiring harness, designed for smaller, trailer-mounted auxiliary battery box installations. The kit includes 23A and 30A fuse kits and a battery-to-fuse cable.

The BCDC1212T can use the existing 12V auxiliary power pin on many trailer plugs, making it the easiest solution for on-board DC charging.

The BCDC1212T is designed and built in Australia to be moisture, dust and mud resistant.

Like all Redarc products, the BCDC1212T comes with nation-wide support, including a two-year hassle-free warranty and after-sales service.
